Training Consonant Classes

Thai children learn in school how important it is to determine at any time to which class a certain consonant belongs. For this purpose they repeat mnemotechnic verse, of which there are several for middle and high consonants. These two classes together contain fewer characters than the low class, thus it is easier to remember this. All consonants that not appear here belong to the deep class automatically.

These mnemotechnic verse tell little stories that one can easily memorize.

It is necessary in all cases, to make slight concessions to the linguistic form and content of the sentences. They fulfill their purpose, however.

The red marked characters are these to memorize. For the third and fourth character wasn't found a suitable word. Therefore, words with the same-sounding consonants were used (purple marked).

I need your help!

I'm not a native English speaker and my English is poor. I've translated this page from my German site because it can be helpful for Thai students everywhere in the world.

Any corrections will be gratefully received.
